Starter Handgun

Get the Norc deal, shoot all the ammo and if you decide you like 1911 style .45 sell the Norc. Keep the empty brass for reloading and buy a higher end one later on.

it already sounds expensive

Oh its not expensive yet. Once you buy your first your hooked. Soon you'll have 2, then 3, and so on. Pretty soon your trying to explain to your wife what that new charge from the gun store on the credit card is.

My wife thinks I need an intervention. I told her all I need is an M&P 22 and I'll be done.......... She aint buying it.

Congrats on the SR1911. I don't own the Ruger model, for a 45 I have a SW1911. But you really can't go wrong with a 1911. Its a tried and true design.

I would definately get a .22 Ruger Mark3 model for practice, getting used to trigger pull etc,,I would go for the STI Trojan for .45 or if you want something a bit less expensive..The new Remington R1 Enhanced is very impressive imo for the price...

They speak the truth. I bought an SR1911 with 1000 rounds as my first, and then I was like, my wife needs something to shoot. So I bought her a browning 1911. Then I wanted a Buckmark... and then I saw the norinco deal on canada ammo for $499.

My wife has now told me "I think we have enough guns for a bit"

"My wife has now told me I think we have enough guns for a bit"

I've heard that several times over the last 2 months...
Already had a llama 1911 in .45 for years. I then got the urge to buy, so I got an Uberti 1873 in .45LC, then a Pietta 1860 in .44, then a Walther SP22. All in 2 months.
I think I better slow down. ;)
