Thanks for the info guys. I have settled on the Savage 12VSS .308
Its a nice looking rifle and it seems the Savage is alot of rifle for the money. I can also hunt with the .308, nothing big but it will still work.
We also have a spot in the mountains that we found that has a flat 800 yard opening for some long range stuff.
