Sound stupid, but I need a few for gun dog training. I am looking for good ones that will take 209 primers. Anyone know of a source in Canada? .22 Blanks are getting really hard to find and they are getting very costly too.

.22 blanks? Can you not use the .22's blanks loaded for .22 caliber nailguns?
 
Not really. Most are shorts, and mosty are also very expensive. When you are training dogs seriously, 100 rounds can by quickly, especially when training multiple dogs.
 
look at russel sports in calgary they carry the 22 and the 209 starter pistols and also the 22 blancks also what sport are you in with the dog
