starter semi auto

I shot my camo SA-08 today at 5 stand (compact sporting clays today) in -14 degrees. My gun never failed with target loads whole some others struggled -- notably a Beretta 300. My Weatherby thru spent Challenger spent hulls 15 feet. I also have SA-08`s in 20 & 28 gage with no failures of any kind. Best bang for my buck out there.

I have owned a SBE2 and an A400 , and I ended up keeping my SX-3 shotguns. They have proven to be just as reliable, they fit me better, and they cost about half as much.

Timely thread, after going into sticker shock on getting a long barrel for my Benelli I came to the conclusion of getting a whole new semi as a casual clay buster. I thought the SX 3 but heck, can get a SA08 Deluxe for $370 less and good reviews....

Sounds good to me, little scratch left over for my true firearms passion and still a decent shotgun to goof around with the kids and the chucker....

D.K.

I'm a fan of recoil- or inerti-operated shotguns, they're much nicer and easier to clean. You can often find a used Franchi for a good price, and they are very nice guns. Stoeger inertial guns are also very inexpensive, but once you handle one you may conclude that you get what you pay for: not much!
