I am looking for advice. I have quite a bit of IMR3031 that I would like to use up. I was hoping to develop a mild load in my 375 H&H using 250 grain Barnes TTSX.
I would like to be around 2500 to 2600 FPS. I can not find any load data for the Barnes bullets using this powder. (3031 is bit fast for the 375, modern powers like Reloader 15 are a much better choice but I would like to use up my stock of old powder.)

I do have the following: Winchester factory data:
Win case, Rem. 270 gr.SP, Win primer.
IMR3031 65.5gr 2610 fps 53,000 psi

Win. case, Win silver tip 300 gr., win primer.
IMR 3031 63 gr 2465 fps, 52,500 psi

Also Lyman manual:
235 jacketed semi spitzer, IMR3031, 64 gr, 2597 fps (Starting load) 71 gr @2849 fps (maximum load)
270 gr. jacketed SP, IMR 3031, 59 gr, 2369 fps (starting load), 66.5 gr @ 2631 (maximun load)

I will be using Hornady brass, Large rifle Remington magnum primers, or large rifle Federal match primers, and Barnes 250 grain TTSX.
I am considering starting with 64 grains of IMR 3031?

Anyone have experience loading Barnes with IMR3031? Any helpful advice would be appreciated.

65gr gets around 2600 fps

Awesome Thank you! I'll start with 64 gr. and go up in 0.5 gr increments and see what the chronograph says. My concern is that monumental bullets don't necessarily behave that same as cup and core in terms of pressure.
I am using a Ruger no. 1 Tropical, so should be OK. even if it is a bit of a hot load.

I haven’t tried mono metals in my 375, but in my 30-06 I had to drop 2 grains, 59 to 57, to maintain the same velocity when I went to a mono from cup and core.
