Campro 147s and 3gr N310 - OAL 1.11 - Works in my STI 1911s and Tanfoglios. Usual disclaimer - work up the load for yourself....
Any modes to the gun to use 147s? What are the main and recoil springs weights?

I run 10lb recoil and 15lb main in my DVC Classics.Any modes to the gun to use 147s? What are the main and recoil springs weights?![]()
You got that right; Clays and N310 - we're at the edge of higher pressures with 9mm 147s - not so bad as to get primer flow or need SR primers - but we're up there.as clays and 147s can be finicky pressure wise from what im reading on the internet.

I ran the same OAL as I did with the Vhit, and it was the same weight (3gr) Same disclaimer; start a little lower and work up using a chrono to check.
what would you recommend for OAL and powder weight with 147s? I like to load to 1.15 for OAL with my 124s but ive never tried clays before.
I run TG, and in 20 years when I run out of it, I'll switch to 320, I prefer the 320 over the 310.
For TG I load between 3.2 and 3.3gr depending on the lot and how it performs
yeah my match ammo in Europe is loaded with 320 and it's sooooooo clean and nice to shoot. I don't know the load offhand, but man it's nice. TG is great, but dirty. 320 is also expensive compared to TG.
Well, I couldn't find VV 320 locally and out of frustration tried some WW 231 I had lying around. And wow, was I surprised. I worked up a load that gave a PF of 130 in my PM 9 and it was crazy accurate as well as super soft. Much softer than the VV 310 which I found snappy. Probably due to the faster burning rate but there are so many variables. Im comparing loads with no change in springs, so there might be room for improvement. But why. 231 is everywhere, it goes on sale, and it is, did I mention super soft and accurate. Done deal.
I thought they stopped making 231?
