Incorrect info, and not at all true.

THANK YOU!!!

So much poor information about SKS rifles and what is 'correct' and 'incorrect'.

This is an excellent example of a 'non-refurb' or 'light-refurb' 1954 Tula SKS. The magazine is Frankenpinned/welded but mags need to be restricted somehow in Canada - so deal with it sadly.

The way to tell if this is a 'non-refurb' vs 'light-refurb' is the butt plate should be electropenciled on a 1954 Tula. If re-blued or black paint applied, this rifle was likely non-issued and sat on a rack - due to rack wear - the butt may have been re-finished. Some people would still consider it a 'un-refurb'd' rifle.
