Starting to Stock the Bench....

Finally getting some components to get going in more than just my main hunting rifle. Had the wife with me so had to curtail myself to about 20% of what I need..... Ahh well, it feels good to get going again and it will give me an excuse to point the bike north this spring and really load up after the pain of Christmas has subsided

Now to roll up some 8x57 and experiment what an already good shooting Mauser is truly capable of ....

I have never seen hornady dies come like that. Just the red die boxes. Good start none the less.

Before you go blow all the money, get into casting that's the real way to shoot. They say reloaders do not save money just shoot more, and if you get into casting where boolits which cost near nothing. A day out with the rifles haha. When I started reloading my shooting went up twice as much, with commercial projectiles. Once I started casting I am shooting a box of 100 9mm for $8. Standard 30cal rifle 30-06, 8mm costs me about $20 per 100.

I've got of those reloading trays as well. They're okay. Some holes had surplus flashing from the manufacturing process that I needed to trim off with a knife but otherwise, it works.

most 8mm mauser rifles that I have heard of like heavier bullets.

mine prefers 198grn fmj and 4064.
