Stay away from Stoeger (benneli & franchi)

I always hold the lever when closing a shotgun. Beretta advises to let the action close on itself but NOT slamming it shut. This sits everything! I accelarated the wear by holding the lever. Will Fennell's Dt10 that has over 100K through it and was rebuilt last fall! It is not really a design defect but incomplete instructions to the operator!

Sometimes trying to be nice, does not work!

Regards,
Henry;)

I have had several stoeger shotguns over the years. Not a ton of them, 7 to be exact. One of the semi's I had, I probably had in excess of 7000 rounds through it, when I sold it. I could probably count on one had the number of jams it had. I have always been a fan of their shotguns based on my own experience, but that's only my own experience.

If I experienced the same issue you are, I would be furious. I agree with claybuster on this. There are only so many parts in the trigger group/assembly. That's a load of hor$e####! I would raise hell over that. I once had a browning a-bolt that was on a repair job for 7 months. When I raised hell, they repaired it free, and gave me a $250 credit towards a new rifle.

Dave.

Nothing new here!

Welcome to Canada.

I had a Bushmaster take 9 months before they finally issued me a replacement!

WTF took them 9 months is beyond me, as they just replaced it anyhow.

It was all about communication and approval from the US department who had to authorize repairs, then parts not coming, and eventually trying to get approval for a replacement.

And this is for a f ckin AR 15 which I could build myself and source parts in a month if that.

In the end like you my opinion is stay away!

The warranty centre I was dealing with was Gravel and they handle Remington, and Marlin as well. I already own 3 marlins, but I will not be buying anymore, and never a remington, or bushmaster that's for sure.

That really sucks ass. I deal with Gravel Agency and they have been great, and really quick as well. They have awesome tech guys and do repairs right there, so I am surprised to hear you had issues. They are also Canadian distributors for Magpul, DPMS and a bunch of other companies. I will ask next time when I meet with them about what might cause such a delay in service. I have noticed that they suck with email but I might just be ending up in there junk box.

Usually the brand names Benelli at least and more or less Franchi are known as very good shotguns. They belong to Beretta corporation. Personally I do not fancy semi-autos or pumps (I have owned two Beretta semi-autos, both are sold), I stay with o/u shotguns.

Sames hear.
never had any issues wit hthem as a civie, working for a sports store or now as a vendor to them.
allways call and talk to a CSR, they get to many email to deal with i n a short time.
The gunsmiths on site are great allso.
But back on topic, stoger sucks, the sales reps dont seem to want your biz and the gunsmith has an issue he just does not get back to you.
Sent guns i to be fixed , then seen them shipped back with nothing does to them...
I own an m1 and an M2 tactical never had any issues with them but i dont look foward to dealing with Stoger if i ever have to.

Wow I'm glad you finally got some service! I hope people start to realize these Benelli guns are all hype. For every $1800.00 shotgun you buy there is probably $800.00 of marketing in it. Who else is paying Tom Knap, Phil Robertson and all the other guys sallaries using these guns.
