Hello, does anyone know if it is possibly to buy steel case 22LR in Canada?
Vostok brand modern production or surplus 80's ammo in spam cans seems to be the most widespread type but I have not seen it sold anywhere recently.

I prefer steel case as it is easier to clean it up at the range by bringing a fishing magnet on a rope.

I remember some Russian crap years ago, you had to wear gloves and a gas mask was not out of order.
Stuff did work fine.
I don't think we will see any with the way things are going, but what do I know?

For just the convivence of being able to pick up the brass with a magnet I wouldn't shoot the stuff . from what I have heard it can be tough on firing pins . steel on steel ?

Just invest in a brass catcher.
