Steel Challenge at abby rod and gun UPDATE: We have legit steel!

great videos guys, nice to see them up. man that go pro sits high on the head

this week we shoot round about, bit tougher than last week so bring your A game

Practice is now going to be tuesdays EXCEPT for this week since everyone is expecting it for thurs

got the money for the scholastic steel challenge set, which is all the steel for Roundabout, Five to Go, Smoke & Hope and Speed Option. This also means we can set up any stage for practice nights and will be able to run matches with official stages, most likely in 2 day events with morning and afternoon groups

im super excited about this as i believe we are the only club in canada shooting the official stages and is a big step forward for the club

added bonus, we will be able to hear the steel ring when we shoot it!

I sent out an email to everyone who has given me their email, if you didnt get one then please send me an email because it means your writing sucks and i cant read it

Can't wait for the right plates to arrive. 12" is a lot bigger than 7. Here's hoping it doesnt take too long to get.

Again, anyone reading this thinking "should I bother going?", you should get your ass out. It's a bunch of fun and a great group of people to shoot with.

What time do you usually shoot until? I didn't get out of the office until just after six, and I figured after the trek out from Burnaby it'd be kinda late...

If I get my registration cert in the mail in time for next Tuesday maybe I can actually come shoot!

Some of us stay till closing (10:00). Except today, most of us left early cause someone didn't bring a heater!!

Looks like fun! Wish I had a car right now. Just got a new M&P9 and would love to shoot if someone is coming from Mission there's ammo/beer/gas money in it for you.

leave early and you miss out sometimes lol. we spent a chunk of time diagnosing wtf was up with some pistols then had some fun

Hey Rob, I thought you would shoot that can in the air then realized you figured out that the bullet would have been over the burm so you waited. ........Ya right

didn't shoot any of the steel with the 500. that's a no no. however paint cans? that's totally ok!

hi there, nice to read about Steel Challenge happening in Canada - congratulations to those running it. I had not heard of this awesome event until got back into shooting about two years after relocating to AZ (once could buy guns with green card in hand). Local USPSA club runs a monthly Eight Steel Challenge. I shoot rimfire pistol iron sights almost every month, occasionally do a second gun with either SR1911 or Browning HP. Always lots of fun. Shot it this morning - weather was nasty, especially by AZ standards. We had a big winter storm overnight - could see snow on peaks to the north as I drove out, heavy rain down here made range a mess. Wet and cold all morning - heck, it reminded me of shooting in Canada ;)
