Steel grain bin for hunt camp

Has anyone used a steel grain bin for camping during fall/winter hunting season on the prairies?

The only habitable buildings left on my uncles farm are the steel grain bins; they've been empty for a few years and I'm thinking one could plop a wood stove in the middle as a heat source, but I'm not sure if the steel would conduct too much of the heat out for it to actually be worthwhile.

So what say you CGN, anyone tried with success?

I think you would freeze your ass off.

Get a 10x10 garden shed package, a better exterior door, and some insulation.. probably cost you less than $2000 to get it all tricked out.

When we cleaned out a mousey cabin it was sprayed with a bleach solution before we removed the mouse evidence. 30 to 40% who get hantavirus don't make it.
The bleach cuts down the other smells too. 1 cup of bleach in a gallon of water. soak it well.

A cheap heater is a 50 gallon drum inserted through the wall cut the fuel feed door and the chimney so they remain outside and reduce the chances of CO2 on the inside

I just built a square house inside the grain bin, no need for a ceiling that high or an outer wall, poly, and studs R12 , steel house door, the heat source is your choice.
