Does anyone know a Canadian retailer that has or can order these?

Thinking about replacing the polymer grip with a steel grip on my STI 2011 because I like the extra weight. I gather from Freedom Ventures that STI discontinued the Aluminum 2011 grip due to frequent breakages. I've seen some SS grips for the 2011 in the US from CK Arms and Phoenix Trinity, but to ship them up here I would need to pay $150 for an export permit. Just wondering if there are local options.

Thanks

I would love to have a set but 500. USD and they cant ship items over 150.00 out of the States. Crap. Did I miss something ?

SV-Infinity,.....They are a no-go directly or from US dealers.
You would have to go through the Canadian Importer and you are closer to $1000-1200. canadian once you select the options required to actually place the order. Not cheap but definatly nice.
Phoenix Trinity was running about 1 yr. behind in selling
CK are also a no-go, No export permit

Speed Shooters International is where i was looking (speedshooter.com/category_list.cfm?ID=GP&Grips) and they have a few options, but I was hoping to avoid the 150 permit fee.

A couple of years ago CRAFM was the SVI importer/warranty centre; might be worth dropping them a line.
Good call

It ain’t no drop in fit. If you look at the YouTube vids Altas GW breaks down the pricing. Basically get a new gun with a metal grip or else you are paying too much. Fitting is a few hundred by itself.

Yes I saw that video (lots of good info there) and decided to take my time - at least as a home project. It is for a Perfect 10 so it is still cheaper for me to get the grip and have it fitted. I gather Dark International (and I'm sure a few others) could do the job so we'll see.

I ended up getting a stainess grip by C.K. and it took a lot of time fitting it to my STI. It is in now, and is the best upgrade I have. I also just ordered an EVO grip through #########.H Armoury which are one piece and a slightly different grip profile. They are supposed to be a near drop in fit so I will report back when the grip comes in. The metal grip really balances out the gun nicely and recoil with the .40 seems mild instead of snappy.
