Steel shot/old Mossberg 500

Looking at buying an old Mossberg 500,12 pump from the late 70's. It has a 30 inch barrel with full choke, can I shoot steel shot through this ?

As stated in your other thread, u have to open the choke to mod. or imp-mod. Steel through a full choke seldom patterns well and may buldge the end of the barrell. Steel can not swedge through the choke like lead. Still a simple fix & not to much to do.
