I have a set of steel Leupold PRW rings and need some weaver bases. What's the difference between Burris steel 2pc bases or Millet 2pc aircraft grade aluminum bases. Seems like a huge difference in price: Leupold steel bases-$46.00
Burris steel bases-$22.00
Millet aluminum-$10.50 ??????????????

Differences,

1 - Steel heavy, Aluminum not so heavy
2 - Steel rust, Aluminum not so rusty
3 - Steel strong, Aluminum not so strongy
4 - Leupold marks products up 200%, Millet not so much

I have the same rings (steel) mounted on an aluminum weaver picatinny rail. It's on a 223 so recoil isn't an issue, but I think you'd need to be shooting something with a pretty potent punch to ever have an issue. I would avoid Millet bases though. They work but they are rough. Machining is poor, while installing some on various rifle I've had to run a drill bit through the screw holes in order to get the screws through. Here's how the rings look on the rail.

FWIW, I love the PRW rings. When you go to install them, put a piece of paper over your scope tube and snap the ring on over the paper, then pull the paper out of course. Doing this will prevent scratching up your scope tube.
