Anyone have leads on a Ruger Marlin 1895? (preferably SBL). I keep seeing the odd lucky guy posting up but everywhere I've looked is sold out.

I'm willing to order from across Canada of course.

Thanks for any leads.

Gotta call some of the dealers and get on their waiting list.

If you have a local dealer without a website, call them also and get them on the waiting list with the supplier. Suppliers are handing them out basically 1-2 per dealer.

I got my 1895 SBL, and it's 100% worth the hassle.

If you want new, start calling around - they're out there, but you may have to wait a few months or more. If you want used, I saw a couple on another popular buy and sell site here in Canada.

There is such a small trickle of them coming into the country you really have to be patient and/lucky to get one it seems

Are they still that hard to find?

Seems like every time I look at the EE I see a couple ads, usually for SBL's or TSBL's, posted by people with single-digit trader ratings who think that $3000 is a very reasonable demand for one. Lots of them say "unfired". Some...not all...of them even stoop so far as to post a pic or two.

The lunacy has crept down into the older Rem and JM guns as well, although the prices are a bit lower.

I think it was yesterday that there two ads for TSBL rifles, one used-but-unfired one offered by a newbie for $3000-ish and another only a handful of EE threads away for a brand new one offered by a dealer for $1800-ish. If I were in the market for one, that would be a tough choice...:jerkit:
