Steiner Or Leupold

I’m looking at a new optic and wondering if anyone got any experience with the Steiner optic.
I’ve owned the Leupold and liked it , but it’s about $400 more than the Steiner.

Two I’m looking at are,

Steiner Predator 4 4-24 $1250
Leupold VX 5 3-5 - 15 $1550

Or any other suggestions in that price range ?

Minimum max power of 15
Fine Duplex or similar reticle
30 mm tube

both are nice scopes. I look at warranty availability. in case it goes bad.

I think both have lifetime warranty

I'm not sure if Steiner has a warranty depot in Canada. as Leupold does.

I would go and check them out side by side if I could....
$400 buys some rings and bases or lots of Busch Lattes.

Love my Steiners. Built like a tank. Vx5 glass is awesome. Tough call, both great optics. Cant go wrong.

I had a Steiner go in for Warranty work. They had excellent customer service

Can’t do that as the nearest Steiner is about 10 hr drive and 6 hr boat ride , away from me.

I suspect the Steiner will be a bit heavier in weight - so its possible it will take more abuse before it needs any warranty service. I have both brands and have no issues with either scope. I know that doesn't help much but whichever one you get I dont think you will have any buyers remorse
