Anyone have anything to do with the Steiner Ti? It is a FFP scope and from personal experience I think they make a good product. For about the same price as a Nightforce NXS which is still a SFP I was thinking on giving the Steiner a try. Any comments be much appreciated.

Hi I have a Steiner Predador Extreme 3-12 X 56. The clarity is exceptional, as well as the quality, I would not trade this scope for any thing else
Make sure you put a great base and rings to go with it, I used Ken Farrel base and rings

Steiner is owned by Beretta.

They make some great quality glass (we sell some of the line at work).

Beretta also owns Burris - the higher end Burris scopes use the same Steiner glass.

A Burris FFP Veracity sells for the same as SFP Steiner GS3 (with all other specs being the same). Likewise, you have the Burris XTR II FFP line which roughly equates to the Steiner tactical scopes.

What's the big difference? Steiner takes parts mostly manufactured in Germany and assembles them in the US. Burris takes parts manufactured mostly in Germany and assembles them in the Philippines. One worker makes probably 30 bucks an hour and the other makes about 30 bucks a week - and that's the difference...

Hmmm .... I hate finding out info like this because it causes me to rethink previous conclusions.
