Is this a total hoax, or somewhat legit? I'm trying to collect some stuff to go with my new sten dewat, and this came up. Worth buying(unless one of you scoops it first!). Could someone with Skennerton's book pass down a little more info? Thanks!

Here's what Graham Priest has to say about it.
A crude reproduction of Captain Whites proposed Sten bayonetwas probably intended as a "private reconstruction" The bayonet was made to the correct dimensions but featured poor welds where joints were present. The spring clip brazed to the blade was a commercial "Terry Clip" unlike the larger version of the original. No catch to keep the bayonet on the Sten barrel was provided. So you have a copy of a "One-off' original.

The Mk2 sten did have a bayonet, but most all were scrapped after the war.
The Mk5 Sten, will of course accept any bayonet that will fit a No4.

That is not the regular mk2 sten bayonet.
On a bayonet website I read that the mk2 sten bayonet is the one bayonet that no collector will pay a premium for an "origional", as they are so cheaply made and have been copied so much that a forgery is discernable from an origional.
The copies (and so called origionals) show up on ebay once in a while, or you can purchase them from IMA in the US for around $50. They also show up at the Calgary gun show; Hank H makes them up as a regular product. I have one of each and Hank's is actually a better fit than the IMA one.

The IMA bayonet is quite the oposite.....I can't get it off the gun. It will take a bit of a spring adjustment to make it work. All in all, quality is about at par with Hank's.
IMA changes their suppliers once in a while, and the quality goes up or down. Their older supply of bayonets had the correct mfgr markings on them even.
