the problem with importing MG parts is that importing parts for use exclusively in a prohibited weapon...... is a criminal offence
NOW one would then assume that with this sten approved sten parts would NOW NOT be exclusively for use in a prohibited weapon (and if that was the case you would be ok to import them IF you could legally EXPORT them from another country (not likely usa would approve permits)
so if the above were true then if somebody got another type of gun approved that was befroe prohib because of FA/ca then those parts should also be ok to import If you could find a legally export from somewhere
Now as we all know the gov dose not make sense in most cases. my above post is MY GUESS and id suggest calling RCMP weapons people and the CGD people BEFORE attempting any imports
You need a semi auto, to justify the parts as semi auto for importation, but cannot obtain the parts to BUILD the semi auto innitially, as no semi auto exists for those parts... Confusing maybe, but it is like a viscous circle that is VERY hard to break.
You are right, finding parts within canada is the key.
