I am going to use the Krylon spray cans I purchased from CT. I have one fake leave/plant but was looking for more designs to make a better looking camo design.
I tried Michaels up in Newmarket but could not find anything. Wally World? Do you mean Walmart? I tried there at the super store in Stoufville and I couldn't find anything in the craft section and the woman working there did not speak english and did not understand a word I asked.
Do a search through some of the threads here. There are (what I though) outstanding results just using cedar branches as templates and building up layers of camo paints. You will need to experiment with the order of the colours to get the effect you want.
Nip into a hardware store(Home Depot, etc) or a paint shop and look at the stencils sold for doing walls. What shape gets painted on isn't as important as the colours and placement. The purpose of camouflage is to visually break up the shape of the thing being cammed. Bunny rabbits will do.
There are lots of free printable stencil sites on-line too. Search 'Free stencils'.
This is a how-to(well done one too)from an Airsoft toy site, but the principles are the same. Tells you how to make your own stencils too. http://www.airsoftretreat.com/reviews/showproduct.php?product=72
Fabrice at Fabarms.com sells stencils and duracoat paints not cheap but very good quality. I bought blanck stencil sheets at wallymart and cut out my own digital pattern with a razor knife.
I printed this off, glued it to the board, then started cutting. Took a while but turned out amazing. Then you've just got to do different layers with Krylon camo.
I had a graphic artist in town make me some peel and stick vinyl digi camo stencils. It was 60 bucks for the first 4 sheets (he created the pattern off of something I printed off the net) and then 2 bucks a sheet after that for as many as I wanted. Cheaper than any stencils you could buy on the internet and I got them to use a special thin vinyl made for layered painting.
I did the same thing as barbeque except I used heavy sticker paper from Office Depot - that way I could stick the pattern right to the gun and overlay new patterns for different colors while preserving the colors underneath.
Pain in the ass though. My wife was wondering why there were so many little white squares on our living room carpet *LOL*. If you can find it, try to get a square hole punch as that is easier than using a knife or scissors.
