Well after a long debate inside my head, the good guys finally one. I managed to talk myself into a brand spanking new Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x56mm NP-R1 scope. I sent out some requests for quotes to the other NF dealers that didn't list prices.Anyways, I ended up going with Peter from Hirsch precision, as he helped me with sending a quote within 48 hours of my email and I had a great experience the last time I dealt with him. Again, it was great dealing with he and his team there at Hirsch precision.

I had been debating the QD style rings or not for a while, but in the end went with some Leupold Mark 4 rings that were on the EE for a good deal.

I am having everything sent out to my new house in Calgary so I don't even get to play with it until I settle in there

I am really looking forward to getting everything all set up, get my reloads made and try to find some places to shoot. Heard a lot about the Homestead ranges but not too sure how they work. Alternatively, I may just have to meet some new friends who like heading out on weekends to crown land.

homestead has a private range and free range, the free range use to be 300m, now its only 100m. pm if you need any pointers on where to head out onto crown thats where i do most of my shooting.

Congrats on the purchase of the new scope; NF sure is at the top of the list.

Peter @ HP is indeed great to talk and deal with. Always replied to my emails very quickly.
