Poilievre will never win an election. Our best hope is that the party dumps him, elects a leader who is likeable, moderate, and caters to a wider swath of Canadians and not just the fringe. Then we have a chance at reversing some of these bans.
Moderate like Erin otoole? How did that go again? Your 'moderate' guy isn't going to reverse anything.

Just the fringe? Ah right, conservative values seem fringe in today's whacky leftist liberal post national state.

It amazes me that people actually believe that a different leader would suddenly encourage eastern lieberal voters, who chose Blackface THREE times will suddenly stop choosing lieberal and vote CPC?
Seems to me a lot of people forget that the CPC has won in the past. Many times. Parties in Canada tend to stay in power for 10-12 years before the electorate gets sick of their BS and wants something different. Unless, when the time comes when everyone is ripe for change, the alternate party has an unlikeable leader who can list everything the other party is doing wrong without providing a tangible and clear plan on how they will fix the problems. The last election was a squandered opportunity.

O’Toole was primed to win, but stumbled down the stretch when he couldn’t overcome a wedge issue. Conservative values as a whole aren’t wacky. But the Trump style, negative “everyone who doesn’t agree with me is a wacky extreme leftist” type politics and political messaging doesn’t win over any voters.

The demographic has changed a lot in the last 11
Years. It’s likely the cpc won’t win again for a very long time.

Who was trying to win votes with that "style" you describe? Sounds like liberal funded media's regurgitated talking points.

Those people will never vote CPC but they are not what is needed for a CPC win. Voting participation is low in this country, only 60-70% of eligible voters per election. A lot of eligible voters stay home from both sides in any given election. Most people know who they would vote for well before the campaigning even starts, whether they go out and actually vote is the question. Poilievre turned off a lot of people who would only ever vote CPC, so they just stayed home. He is a gift to the liberals, so long as he is the leader they can just cycle through new leaders and keep winning becasue enough CPC voters will just sit it out. Next election is in 2029, it will likely be a Liberal majority going to whoever is Carney's replacement as his welcome will likely be worn out by then. Then the CPC will decide to get a new leader meaning the first real shot they will get will be in 2033. It really stinks because, while a don't really tust any politician, Poilievre is the first one I can recall for whom I have a slight bit of hope that he may actually do something substantial for gun owners. He will never be prime minister thought so we will never know. Whoever replaces him is unlikely to be as gun friendly as he has claimed to be.
