So time for a stupid question what clamp are people using when installing the barrel nut? Does this work in a normal clamp for an AR or does it have to be modified or is there a good option of the shelf? Thanks for any help and I will pass this info on to Mike.

I've heard Mike talk about the success he has had using a reaction rod instead of a clamp

Pardon this stupid question, but I am a new gun owner and I just got my receiver today.

How worried should I be regarding the rust?

I’m kind of afraid to touch it because the natural oils on my hand may do something to it.

Should I cover it in oil before I touch it? Or am I just being paranoid?

Aluminum doesn't rust.

Anyone know if you need to use a different front take down pin and detent and spring? Can't get the detent far enough in to get the pin in. I'm thinking about trimming the spring

Just got mine from Canada post. Very pleased with the quality of this set. Should be able to put something together shortly. Just need to strip down some ARs that are now paper weights

Are you talking about the anodized aluminum upper and lower receiver?

They will not have an issue from hand oils that I have ever seen. Anodizing creates a hard surface that protects the aluminum.

In general, just keep the aluminum anodized surfaces clean.

Definitely happy with the results!
