I got back from the range and just wanted to let you guys know that these Stevens rifles are the real deal. After a bit of sanding on the stock, refinishing it with Krylon camo and tuning the trigger myself (instructions are on the net) it shot a consistant .75 MOA, this will be a great coyote gun.
I was loading

50 gr VMAX
26 gr Benchmark
CCI BR-4 Small rilfe
Win Brass

The rifle shoots better then 3 of my Tikkas and havent tried any other loads yet. Any of you guys thinking about getting one I would say go for it :D

Where did you find the trigger tune info? I'm also looking at one of these for a truck gun. I need something for coyotes, but don't want to worry about scratching up nice wood. Are they pillar bedded? How smooth is the action on these relatively cheap rifles?

Im not sure where I found th einfo on the trigger but the site had a good diagram and step by step instructions for us gunsmithing challenged folks :D
I don't think its pillar bedded, never checked and the bolt is smooth on my .223.
