In keeping with the theme of big bore stevens 200's here is another I completed this afternoon. Stevens 200 in .450 marlin with a Shilen match #5 bbl 18 inches long, staggered mag repeater.

Cool project..I would of probably went that direction if I would of known of its possibility a few years ago before I got My No.4 Mk1 Enfield rebarreled to 45-70 .

Yes I agree...a little more practical then the 45/70 enfield. I have owned a few of those as well. The 450 marlin does it all in a rimless case, VERY easy to convert a stevens or savage. Open the bolt head up slightly and away you go. Extraction/ejection is good, feeding takes a little work but way easier then getting the enfield to feed 45/70 IMHO

IM not sure how much work is involved in getting the 45-70 to feed, I know there is no change to the bolt face / extractor on the enfield but there was certainly the need for a brand new magazine (single stack) that is as available as Hens Teeth.

I have to be pretty careful with My OAL if I want to be able to extract loaded rounds.

You sir are a genius.
Can't wait to see what you come up with next.

Might I suggest something along the lines of a survival rifle....

For sure...

Something light, accurate, stainless, IRONS and the ability to have a scope, sling mounts, a butt stock you can easliy open up to store ammo in but locks tight. Something in .22Mag maybe? OR a well working .22LR over 20g :)

Don't forget a compass in the stock and a thing that tells time:p
