Just wondering if its possible to switch an inline feeding internal mag on a Stevens 200 over to the older stagger feed system..the inline feeding sucks. Should be as simple as switching the internal box, spring and floor plate??? Or did they change something.

Also is anybody making replacement stocks to fit the new pillar bolt spacing as of yet??

Gun shoots great...hard to believe for the money you spend on one.

Thanks

Hi,

Just a quick note note - this topic has been covered extensively here on CGN. Maybe just do a quick search of the forums, and you will find what you need.

Take care, Hakx

The centerfeed system does not suck, its very good actually. Push the rounds through the mag lips, they pop apart for this, you don't have to feed them back through the front.

Sharpshootersupply makes a new hi cap extended mag base for the detatchable models. Search for their web site and contact number.

Putting the old mag into the new action is not an easy task. There are no milling cuts in the new action for the old mag to fit into.

Personally, I also really like the new center feed system. What's wrong with yours?

People spend a fortune to get a center feed mag system installed. Savage is doing it for dirt cheap.

So far, HS, MCM, Stockade and SSS are making stocks with the new bolt spacing. boyd, Choate and Bell/Carlson are threatening to follow shortly.

Unfortunately, availability is more a function of paperwork then production.

But I am working on it.....

Jerry
