Stevens 200 Feeding Problem

Hey Folks,
I have a Stevens 200 .223 staggered feed in a boyds stock.
When you put 3 or 4 shells in it and try to chamber a round the shell gets about half way in chamber and bends upwards.
And its almost like the next shell wants to come at same time.
Any idea wah it could be? I'm guessing an aligment issue maybe???
Any feedback would be great...

Took it apart again tonight...spring and follower are both in correctly!
Who do you guys recommend for a good gunsmith I could ship it too???

It doesn't take much of a different angle on the follower to cause havoc.
Make sure the mag box is sitting in there correctly and not tipped nose or arse up.
In the original stock, the mag box is held in by friction and a clip tongue on the front.
Not sure how Boyd's replicates this on their replacement stock.
I had one beeeeeatch of a time fitting the Richard's Microfit stock to the wee factory gizmo's.
 
try it again in the factory stock, or did it feed fine in the factory stock?

do you have the clip the holds the mag up in the right spot in regards to the bottom of the action?
 
I don't have the factory stock to try.
And mag box stays connected when I take bbled action off of the stock, only the follwer n spring come out.
I know its something minor, I just can't seem to see what!
 
the sides of the magazine well could be rubbing against the stock causing the follower to hang up and cause feeding issues. color the mag well up with some old lipstick and install it in the stock, if you see lipstick in the stock that's where its rubbing
 
Wouldn't be the steel rails(lips)above the follower that hold the shells in place in the mag would it?(Maybe not crimped enough)
I dunno just guessin now haha

unlikely if it fed okay in the old stock............

try feeding dummy rounds through the mag outside of the stock, hold the spring in the magwell with tape or hold it flat on the table and see if it feeds, if it feeds out of the stock then the stock is the issue, if you have issues out of the stock then you might be right about the feed lips
 
Suspect the stock requires some fitting. As mentioned, it doesn't take a lot to throw feeding off. Give Boyd's a call/e-mail and ask 'em if fitting is required.
