I picked up a 243 this winter for a pretty much dedicated yote gun for next year. I have a 223 now, but want to be able to reach out there for the guys that dont wanna come in to 223 effective range.

The stocks that Im mainly looking at are the MDT LSS, and B&C Medalist. I have two Boyd stocks already, so I kind of want something different this time around.

My questions are
With the LSS chassis and me have a blind mag stevens rifle (4.4 EDIT: center feed). How easy/hard is it to make this chassis work for me?

Also I have a pencil barrel for now, but down the road Im looking at a Savage Heavy Sporter barrel (.685") and want to know how funny this combination looks in a stock/chassis thats opened up for a heavy barrel?

Thats all for now :)
thx

If your action screw spacing is 4.4 inches then you have a center feed not a stagger feed. When you take your barrelled action out of the stock the magazine should remain in the stock. When you install your barrelled action into the chassis all you need in the appropriate AICS type magazine and you are ready to roll. Of course you'll need to add your pistol grip and stock of choice. As to how funny it will look, that's up for debate but there's no doubt it'll be free floating.

Ahh thanks for seeing that. It should of been center feed in my original post.

Yeah I was thinking that since that mag stayed with the stock that it should be much of a problem with the LSS chassis, but I wanted to make sure before dropping some money. thanks

I wonder if a Savage Varmint (.8") barrel wouldnt look alot better than the smaller ones

To many damn options nowadays

thx

Im using 53gr Vmax and I dont want to go much further then 350yds with em.

Im sure theyll still be accurate past that range but I dont know about the stopping power out past that far
