Stevens 200 stock embelishment

This rifle sure is attractive from an accuracy to price ratio. However that grey stock leaves much to be desired in terms of its aesthetic appeal. Has anyone done anything to improve it's looks worth showing?... or does anyone have any suggestions as to what can be done to improve this rather bland looking stock?

For the record, they all shoot like a hot damn. I have had one in .308, .30-06 and .270 They all shot 1" or under.

I can't agree with you more. I recently bought one and the stock seems too bulky. I would be curious to know if there is an after market replacement ?

A little bit of Krylon Fusion camo paint and imagination and you've got a great looking shooter.

Try a Richards Microfit stock.

Buy a Boyds laminate or a Hogue synthetic. Or buy a can of paint.

Nice looking stocks!!! So this Krylon paint holds well on plastic and metal? It's fairly scratch resistant?


Win94, I really like the black textured one for myself. What's the exact paint for this?

It seems to hold alright. A full season of coyote hunting and no scratchs on mine yet. Time will tell I guess

my stevens boyds combo is in my signature. The stock does add a lot of weight though.. Its on my 7mm08, but i will be putting it on my .22-250 stevens

If you are going to paint it...
A: USE KRYLON FUSION!!! At least for the base coat, it actually eats into your plastic.

B: take some time with a sharp knife and some fine grit paper and take all the rough edges and seams out.
