If there is a thread already for this, please direct me to it.
Got a new stevens 200, and would like to know of options in
filling and making stocks more dense.
I was considering of maybe a combo of lead shot and some kind
of epoxy or body shop compound to fill in forestock.
I noticed that in the rear stock, the factory placed a piece
of white styrofoam.
I wonder if injecting spray foam would work better,
or not be heavy enough.
Would appreciate any feed back anyone might have.

I would recommend the spray foam in the butt. I filled my stevens stock with fiberglass body filler and lag bolts for structure both in the fore-end and the butt, and it made the rifle weigh about 11lbs...

I was looking at a can of Low-E foam in the basement and the Stevens. Just might have to give it a shot and see how it turns out.

Let me know how it works out.
I even thought of filling with sylica sand .
If i didnt like it, just pour it out after.
I dont see why the spray foam wouldnt work, has to be more dense
than the small piece of styrofoam thats in there now.
