stevens 300 price

I can answer this since I literally just bought one. I paid $289.99 before taxes etc. Total out the door price was $324.79. I will also add that if you buy one be prepared to have a gun with the worst feeling trigger ever! This gun will literally make an SKS trigger feel like a million dollars. That being said, shim the trigger from the action 0.25, add brass spacers on either side of the trigger blade until the wobble is gone and replace the trigger spring with a lighter one that is similar in size and you will have a trigger that breaks nicer than an accutrigger, but has just a bit more weight to the pull. I just did this to mine and it is night and day difference!

I just got the 22mag but have not shot it but plan taking it out for raccoons wen my new 2013 Rokon Trail Breaker gets home

i have the stevens 300f. paid about 330 for it. trigger pull was very heavy. bought a rifle basix SAV-R sear for it and now it works amazing. rifle basix doesnt make one specific for the stevens but all i had to was grind a tiny bit off the end to clear a screw boss.

These are one of those guns... the ones that use roughly half the material of the standard rifle, yet their price tag is far higher.

Reminds me of when I was building marble countertops; you could have your order polished to a mirror-shine for a certain cost, or you could opt for a 'satin' finish for an additional charge. The satin finish took some three hours less to produce than the mirror, because it simply meant you didn't finish with the 800-grit...

Price gouging at its finest.
