Stevens 300 trapper range report

well took my stevens to the local 22 club and was very shocked at results! after sighting it in I shot our club 30 round standing and ened up with 293/300. sighting it in was alittle strange, buddy gave me a old tasco he had laying around and I just slapped it on and went well at 20 yards it was out by about 3 foot LOL I didnt think a scope could turn that much LOL

just weaver base #45 I just picked them up at our canadian tire. I think like 5 bucks each...rings are just cheap tasco rings as I wasnt sure I wanted scope on it or not. so now buy way it seems I need to buy a scope for it LOL
 
Thanks I'll try and track some down. I bought the rifle last October from Cedar Valley Hunting and paid for the bases but the guy working there says he's been unable to find any from his supplier in Canada for the last 5 months.
 
I think only one was left but I can check and pick them up for you if you like, I am not sure it it is the right ones as weaver site says #16 but said could be marked 45 so I just bought 45s they worked
 
It does look like #16 is recommended but it's good to know that the 45's will work as well....I will be placing an order with Brownell's soon and will add the bases to the order unless I hear from Cedar Valley first.
