I want one, it seems like they are NLA? Anyone know where i can get one or if they even are available or not?
Those of you who do have them how do you find them?
 
I had one, sold it after I put one of box of shells through it. Cool little gun but the novelty wore off

bought mine at trade show.
one box of shells, sold it.

trigger sucked, accuracy meh. maybe would have been fun with a red dot.
 
Have the 300F compact.

Lots of fun.

Trigger is oook...accuracy was shooting way up...turns out the buckhorns were faulty.

Installed Skinner...nice and spot on with all kinds of ammo...and action is typical MarkII or 93.
 
I had a few, once you get the 10 pound trigger sorted out its fun. I sold them and ended up keeping the norinco backpacker. Way happier with that one. You would think that a shorter rifle would come with a better trigger lol
 
So the jw 15a is actually a better rifle? Nothing any of you guys said makes me want to spend over 300 on one of the Stevens rifles
Any jw15a's around?
 
I'm with Aaron on that one. I see nothing wrong with the trappers (other than the lack of accutrigger) but I think I paid $175 for my JW15A and it's not going anywhere. Too handy a size, decent accuracy, creepy but predictable trigger~works fine for me.

EDIT~you asked whether or not it's a "better" rifle. I wouldn't think it is better than a Savage-made gun. Some rough machining in the bolt, receiver, but I think the bluing on mine is much nicer than the Savage rimfires I've seen in recent years. Assuming it is a blued finish...looks like a satin blue/black. Mine has no bluing at the muzzle at all~I think these were standard length barrels already blued...when Norinco decided to cut them down. So, it's raw metal you see at the muzzle. Still, no evidence of corrosion...even when it's' gotten damp.
 
I've got the Norinco as well, and am quite pleased with it. It is a CZ-clone, so I can use the multiple CZ mags that I own. Accuracy is good, trigger is mushy but not heavy. I think mine was $190 a year or so back.

I cold-blued the muzzle just so that it wouldn't look so much like a home-made job.
 
I think the last one I saw on the shelf was at Target Sports. Then again, I don't spend enough time in gun shops. I bought mine barely used on the EE.
 
I ordered mine from the local gunshop this past christmas(my awesome GF keeps buying me guns and this was one of them) and I really like it. I tend to lighten the triggers on most of my rifles and did this one too. It is much more rust resistant then the stevens also, a big + for me, is as accurate, and feels better. Just find a scope(if you're putting one on it) with a smaller rear bell so the mounting stays as low as possible(they copied the CZ bolt throw too) and enjoy how tough the little rifle is. Also make sure you take the bolt apart to clean the factory oil out of it(easy) when new or it won't work in the cold.

Didn't want this to get burried. Any body know who's got a Norinco for sale? Any of the dealers on here? It's getting close to Christmas and I want a new toy! Good shooting guys and gals.

The bores are chromed (I was told). So the reason why you don't see corrosion at the "raw metal" muzzle is because the it is actually chrome you are looking at. Norinco cut the barrel then chromed the bore and the crown. Those barrels will never wear.
