Did the stevens 311 ever come in 20 guage?All I;ve ever run into is 12 guage

Yes, Stevens did make the 311 in 20 gauge, my father has one. They sure don't appear to be very common. From what I recall everything is scaled down to 20 ga size - thankfully they didn't just throw a set of 20 ga bbls on a full sized receiver. It is nice budget price SXS.

I think they also came in 16 ga and .410 if I'm not mistaken.

I have a 16 and a .410. With these guns the earlier the model the better the fit and finish. Watch for model 311 with no letter designate or 311 A these guns were built right and a pleasure to shoot and own. They are not getting any cheaper these days. Demand in the US has shot up prices there. A good 311 A 16 should run about 275.00 a 311 A .410 will be close to 500.00 a 20 like you mentioned will be about 350.00 Later guns like the 311 H have poor fit and finish but they are still tough guns. They are easy to tighten up if they loosen also.
