i posted this in the gunsmith section but didnt get input....I have a Stevens 311 hasn't seen alot of use but it occasionally pops open when fired if the gun isn't shouldered tight. (ie snap shooting at a flushing grouse) any thoughts as to what might cause this and how I could fix it thanks

Goble's in London is good. My dad took his Remington 1100 in and they fixed it for about $100. (The action was jambed). Took a little while to get it back but they did a good job fixing it.

Longs out of bewdley is good, took him a marlin rifle that has spent more time at gunsmiths than in my cabinet and he fixed in 15 minutes what other couldn't but still charged me for.
