Stevens 32 rifle

Hi there all. I just bought a Stevens 32 cal rimfire ( long)at a local gun show today. It is a resto-gun for me. Only problem for me is that it is missing the firing pin. Does anybody out there have one for grabs or at the bare minimum pics with dimensions so that I may make one. The only other problem is ammo. Does anyone out there have any, I do know that it is rare, but I would be happy if someone had just one shell that I may have to use upon teh resto. I will worry about getting more later when finished. I could not find any there today. I would really love one live one, but even a casing would be a big help so that I may see if it will eject. Thanks all in advance to who may help. I sthere any disassembly diagrams out ther of this rifle. It is a falling block, hexagonal with round barrel. Thanks again.

took a look, but am unsure of what model it is. looked on gun but it is not stamped or marked. any help in solving this mystery is also greatly appreciated.

thanks. appears to be a model 1894 afetr doing some looking online. now all i need is a shell to see if it ejects. thanks again

I have one that is complete. It is not for sale as it is a wall hanger but If I can help you with this project I will try to do what I can. Mine is marked as 32 Long.
You can PM me if I can help. Perhaps I can take out the firing pin.

yes so is mine. thanks colinjw for the offer but will look around a bit first before making you take out the firing pin. unless it is not that difficult. would not want to put you through a bunch of work if it is hard. but you may hear back from me. hehe. Thanks again for the offer. Is the rivit in the buttstock original? I don't believe it is but you never know.

Mine does not have a rivet in the stock so I think you can assume that yours has been repaired at some time.

escutcheon's are decorative brass inserts, often engraved or embelished. they are sort of the the civilian equivilent of military regimental discs.
