i have never owned a " cheap" pump shotgun before, but I'm looking for a combo that is affordable, just to put a 12g in the safe. I came across the Stevens 320 pump combo at Cabelas for $279, and just happened to get $250 in Cabelas gift cards at Christmas.
I have searched, and read what I could find on CGN, but just wanted some more recent opinions from anyone who has owned or shot one in the last few months, and if you own one, are you happy with the purchase.

Well it's a good thing Hickock 45 exists, cause you guys were no help at all :)
I picked one up to try it out, not fancy at all, about as basic as a shotgun gets, but it seems to be robust, took it out yesterday and thru a couple of boxes of target and a box of buckshot down the pipe, worked exactly as it should, if it keeps performing like it did I will be happy with it, swings well, and actually fits me better than my BPS, go figure, lol.
I understand it's a clone of the Win1300, made in China for Savage Stevens, no frills but I actually like the look of it for the price.
I will do a review of it after a few more rounds and let you know if I'm still smiling

I too had $250 in GC from christmas but went with the maverick 88 with the 28" barrel for about $40 bucks out of my pocket. Was looking at that combo, had it in the cart even but was just to uneasy having never held one, interested to hear your review and people's opinions on them.

My initial plan was to grab the Maverick for the same price, and grab a Mossy 500 slug barrel for it, but that adds 100-150 to the price, and I wanted the slug barrel. I definitely would have got the Mavrick if it was my own cash out of pocket, my brother has had one for years, taken hundreds of ducks and geese, he has beat the crap out of that gun and it works every time.
Had theStevens out again today and sent another box down range, not a single issue, I've heard some reviews say that some are good and some are not so good, mainly the earlier ones, but I gotta say, this thing is solid, absolutely no slop or play in the pump, which I can't say about any Maverick I've held, but I guess the test is long term reliability, I know a Maverick will literally last for years!
I will post more as I get more rounds thru it, but I'm a happy guy so far
