Stevens 320 stock question

Can anyone tell me if the stock from a 12 gauge Stevens 320 will fit a 20 gauge model?

The height, width, and circumference are all the same at the point where it joins the receiver, but I can't get my hands on an actual 12g stock to try it and be positive.

Savage says no, but I'm not so sure they actually checked.

I google searched your first sentence.
Some info shows up regarding Winchester 1300 compatibility.
Another mentions 870 and an adapter.

You’re vague on stock?
Front?
Rear?
Both?

If Savage says they’re different, why would they fib?

Did you check and see if the parts share the same part numbers?
