Stevens 334 - stock upgrade anyword?

I do love my Stevens 334 for a budget rifle . My trigger is good gun is smooth I’d love to upgrade the stock , I’ve yet to see anyone making one for it , curious if anyone has inquired or heard about stocks being made ?
Contacted Boyd’s with no response yet , synthetic is nice but would like it a bit nicer if possible but happy with synthetic if none available . Be a fair amount of trouble having one cusfom made ! Now that the rifles been out a bit I expected to see some stocks or aftermarket but have yet to . Anyone know differently ? Looking for premade rather than learn to make one for it , chassis would be best option ! But I’m sure not many companies are interested

It is what it is. If you wanted ann endlessly customizable rifle, you should have bought a rifle that is endlessly customizable. Remington 700s are cheap and plentiful and have a near infinite number of aftermarket products. Get one of those and mix and match to your heart and wallets delight.
 
... or buy the original, the ATA Turqua, they come with nice laminate or walnut stocks.

I got a Turqua in 243 WIN, with laminated stock.
They have much better triggers, come with two magazines and 24 " barrels.
Mine is extremely accurate (for my competency level), 1 hole 5 shot groups at 100 meters.
 
Guys, if you know of an aftermarket stock that fits his rifle, let him know. Otherwise get off your high horse and moral low ground. No need to slag him for his choices.

I got one as well, it’s what I could afford at the time. When I have some budget for shooting again, I might want to look at what aftermarket parts are available. It doesn’t help coming in with a holier than tho attitude saying he should have bought something else, when he already has a rifle he likes. Sheesh

Right , I had to go down in budget and don’t rifle hunt a ton for the money it is well worth it I’m fine with synthetic but when it was half price of ones I’ve used previously and I liked it better , can’t hate it when it works ! Just seeing what options are there .

When I got it still newer but expected upgrades available

I went synthetic as I don’t mind it I’m seeing option availability down road as I do enjoy the rifle and it surpasses what I expected I wish I had the ATA Turqua as iron sights would have been icing on it , I coulda got wood stock indeed . It’s. Brush gun just if I upgrade one day

Oh not endlessly but you should see reviews on it for cost very impressed . Eventually a custom build is in works down the road but I’m happy with it as is just seeing how it’s become more popular somone may make a stock and could personalize much better . But as is out of the box I was impressed indeed .

Not looking match grade accuracy etc . But the rifle is smooth , yeah could add cost depending but never know could be an upgrade to a rifle I don’t mind but as is just seeing what’s available for this model …

Yeah ATA Turqua expensive these are similar just not all wood stock I did have that option but no iron sights , for the cost 100^ but this even double cost didn’t touch tikka and I replaced rifle that cost more as I liked it, just wanted to see if anyone heard upgrades

It’s all what works … and our budget at the time ! lol currently finishing school about 10 years late so worked full time school full time having to take time off for it and inspected expenses has me getting rid of some other items but keeping basics and when I rebuild it’ll be a nicer one indeed I can find any stock for etc but for now this gun impresses me .

But it’s cheap enough I’d spray paint it do I really wanted a colour change etc , a new stock would be great that’s more customizable is all but not necissary and not paying more MSRP than rifle haha been there
 
With Savage selling them at such a reasonable price, people will buy them, just a matter of time until there are enough on the market for aftermarket stock makers to get on board.
I remember the first release of the ATA, the stock was way to large and bulky, like a pot belly pig kinda thing, so Savage already improved that part lol.

Nobody is on a high horse here, ecxept maybe the holy bishop, who reads but doesn't comprehend.

Instead of investing in a (at least $300) Boyds stock he could sell the rifle and buy something which has already a nice stock.

They fixed the stock before Steven's/ savage licensed it.

But why would I get rid of a ergonomic good shooting rifle that I prefer over ones that have cost me 2x as much ? I was just curious I can live without an upgrade but would be nice . You can upgrade a high end car or Honda civic , this rifle for me is great all around just seeing if I could customize a bit

That’s main reason for wanting a stock is the gun itself is great & accurate with all I want for cheap cost aswell it’s a lot of brush where I am I don’t mind it getting dinged up some

If you haven’t try holding one at a store , I had to smith out bolt and trigger a tad but otherwise it is very very nice and smooth ! Beats the other entry guns in my opinion . But of course many others better just cost a bit more

So now maybe see why I was asking about it vs trying to get a different one . Curious Id like to think they would but it may take time if the rifle gains popularity , more than Boyd’s I’d like a chassis for it , not for hunting more for target but that I doubt would happen compared to Boyd’s making one . But honestly check it out for cost when I got mine on sale I was very very impressed
 
You might try emailing ATA in Turkey. I have a Turqua walnut. Fabulous rifle.
That walnut stock would be direct fit into yours.
Never hurts to go to the source.
