Hey, I've been thinking about a project for a little while now and would like some input from you experts on it.
I have a complete Stevens 340 in 30-30 that is in rough external shape. I was thinking about converting it to 7.62x25.
The process I was thinking about converting it would be snapping a 222 extractor/ejector on the bolt and affixing one of the cartridge conversions in the chamber. I thought that there were the 30-30s to 7.62x25 but now I can't find a mention of them online. Would it make sense to get a 303 conversion or a 7.62x54r one and turn them down to a 30-30 size?
After getting the firearm to chamber and fire properly I would then make/3D print a sleeve that would hold and feed a tokarev mag.
Any thoughts/input would be much appreciated.
Cheers
