Stevens 530A

Picked up a Stevens 20ga double barrel shotgun that appears to be in good shape,locks up tight and all but when closed the lever is way left? First double I've ever owned so not sure if something is worn or a weak spring or what? Thought perhaps someone here might have some ideas?

That indicates it is well worn. It will require professional work to put it back like new. It can be done but not at home.

Numrich lists new levers

Numrich has used levers I'm afraid as does Western GP's. Who would you recommend to center the top snap? The rest of the gun is in good shape made in 1950.
