Stevens 59A Bolt

I have a Stevens 59A 410. There is no pressure between the front and rear of the bolt. When I hold the front of the bolt the rear swings freely. When the bolt is in the gun and I pull it back and leave go the bolt handle drops. I don't figure its supposed to do this. Whats the problem and how do I go about repairing it?

From your description my guess is that the springs are shot or broken. Without seeing it, it's pretty hard to diagnose.

I got it figured out. Bolt head stop plunger and spring are missing. Thanks
