I bought a Stevens model 77B 12ga pump from another cgn'r. It was disclosed that it had an issue but was explained completely different that what the actual problem really is. I think he just wasn't sure how to explain it and got it a little mixed up. He did offer to buy it back and I chose to keep it so he did attempt to make good. No hard feelings on the deal. So anyway...it is missing the spring that lifts the bolt latch keeping the bolt locked foreward when fired. I have no idea what this spring looks like. Could someone that has a Stevens model 77 do me a huge favour. I need someone to remove their trigger assembly (1 screw and 1 pin) and take a picture of the left side the the trigger assembly. It should show the spring there. I looked at an exploded drawing and wasn't seeing what I thought I would see. I have a friend who might be able to make me a spring if I can figure out what it is.
