Anyone have any experience with this gun? There's one for sale for a cheap price - stock is beat up but metal looks good. I figure a 16ga might come in handy for some of my smaller friends who don't like my 12ga. My only concern is the availability of 16ga ammo - are light loads available at places like Le Barons?

LB usually show Remington and Winchester 16ga shells in their catalogue....having said that, whether they regularly have those in stock (or any other item for that matter ) is a different question altogether.

Nevertheless, I always see both brands available + Kent at BassPro (Vaughan Mills). Personally, I buy Kent but the Remington 1oz Game Loads are more cost efficient - around CDN$5.47/box+tax.

16 is an interesting creature, they are loved by the guys that like them.
I do know someone looking for an inexpensive one if you don't buy, let me know more about it.

They have a following as the 1oz 16 G load is supposedly the perfect patterning load for hunting.

Shells are somewhat common but not as common as a 20G and usually run 25%-50% more in price.

Cheers

Glad to hear that 16ga rounds are still available, even if it is sparse. Thanks guys :)

Any opinions on the 77D? I haven't found anything online.
