I was recently offered one of these Model 14 1/2 Little Scout rifles. Does anyone know if this little rifle is restricted based on it's barrel length of 14.5 inches or is it non-res because it is rimfire and has a full stock? Here's an example of the gun I am referring to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=piE7EB6Yzuc . Thanks for your input.

Nope, it's non-restricted - I have one myself. The barrel is 18" long (mine is, anyway), overall length 33". I don't know the history of the "14 1/2" moniker, but it doesn't have anything to do with barrel length. 18" appears to be standard.

They're a great little rifle, and if mine is any indication, are great little shooters.

I would say , if the over all length is over 26 inches and the barrel hasn`t been shorten then its most likely non-restricted ,as it would be similar to the 1022 archangel kits with the 12.5 inch barrel with the stock be made fixed so it length is always over the 26 inch limit.
