I have a Leupold VX-III to mount on my Steven's 200. I have the Leupold Standard rings and need the right bases. I tried Leupold #55742 with no luck. The rear screw spacing is wrong.

Help me out here. What bases or full setup do I need to mount this scope?

I have two Savage Stevens 200, one 223, the other 308. They both have Weaver #46 bases on them. They're fine on the 223, but seem limited on the 308 for scope movement ( eye relief), the bell being close to the rings. That being said, I'm not familiar with your scope, so someone else will hopefully be along to help you out.

Might be something called a #402 extension?? Weaver??

Weaver # 46, is my understanding on all of them. Thats whats on my 243

I just picked up a 223 and they didn't have low weaver rings so he threw on Talley LW

Right there! ha! Thanks that will be my last option as now I'd like to find a better set of Weaver rings then the ones I have.

Thanks man!!

Now, I have #46 Weaver bases and the VX-III Leupold scope is about 5mm too short to fit down into the Weaver rings I have.

Rings I have.

So the solution would be to buy thinner rings. The rings I have now are 21mm long. Whats a thinner ring I can buy? Anyone have measurements on their thin weaver rings?
