This is the pepper laminate JRS I ordered from boyds. I think it is a nice touch. This is a project rifle I am working on at the moment. Nicer looking now than the tupperware stock!!

I ordered this stock from boyds last april, and it finally showed up.!!

Now for working on the trigger or ordering a timney, I'm undecided right now.
I may even order another stock.(for the .22-250 I have in stevens 200, this one is on my 7mm-08) It came with a better recoil pad than the stevens, I am happy with the look.

I have also heard that the remingtons laminate is the boydds laminate stock. I dont know how true this is, and am passing it off as a rumor.

As I am in college at the moment and the pics have been sent to me from my parents, the first shoot with my boyds/stevens 200 will be during christmas break. Cant wait:dancingbanana:

As of right now, I am not sure if I will bed it or not, pathfinder. Did you bed yours? How did it turn out? Any notice in accuracy from it?

I originally was thinking of getting it for my savage 110 in 30-06, but decided to put it on my stevens instead.

Now, for a thumbhole stock on my stevens 22-250;)

Im not sure exactly what you mean by see through mounts. Its a little bit high but it does the trick. It worked okay before with the original plastic, and I will have to wait and see if I need lower mounts when I go home.

Boyd's makes nice stocks. Sure dresses up the Stevens. On the rings... see thru rings are open in the center so you could still use iron sites [if the Stevens had iron sites]. Going down one size of rings [i.e. high to medium] would put the scope lower & probably more comfortable to your eye/hold.

That's a little beauty now buddy. I've been asking around about Timney trigger for my daughter's Stevens 200. So far, I haven't heard that they made one, but these things can change pretty fast.

The best part of this project is that i can slap the old tupperware stock on my 7mm-08 whenever I feel the need to, and I can put the same stock on my stevens 200 chambered in .22-250

But, it may be a problem because I am thinking of getting another boyds for the .22-250

So many choices.

Are there any Canadian companies who do the same work as boyds? It may be cheaper and get here quicker to order from a canadain company. Just a heads up.

I called boyds 4 times to find out when it was going to get here. Each time they said within 60 days. Im not a math expert but 60 days is shorter than 7 months. It took 7 months for it to get here.

The last time I called (september) they said it's on the production list. So where was it the rest of the time???

Anyways it turned out pretty nice.:) It took a long time to receive it in the mail:mad:
