Thinking about purchasing one....SIR has one for less than $200....if you own one or shot one can you give me your opinion on it....I plan on using it for small varmits.......Is it good to 100yds....thanks ....

No this particular one does not come with a scope..It does come with scope bases installed.... They/SIR has a stevens semi-auto .22lr for $159...that one comes with a scope.....I basically looking for an inexpensive 22mag and wondering if anyone has any experience...how it shoots..etc....with this Stevens Model 305 Bolt Action .22 Mag thanks..

Spend the extra money and get a Savage with the Accu-trigger. You will be a lot happier.

When you say "small varmints", what are we talking about here?

Your criteria says 100 yards or under. The .22 LR will do for the smaller varmints out to that distance quite well. A lot cheaper on ammo tool
