Do you guys know any stocks for the Stevens 200 that are TRG or L96ish? Some ideas could be:
prod259338.html
or
prod269454.html
I like both and am wondering where I might find similar stocks if there are any for the Stevens.

Well??? I dont mean to be a dink, but I bet you would get thousands of matches if you googled any of the posts you put in the Precision Rifle forum.

Is a Savage 25 a good long range platform? how about H&R Varmint ?
6.5x55mm Would this be a good round to get a hold of?
Can a 1 in 9.25" twist push those 107 gn Sierra bad boys out there?
Do you guys know what bases a Savage/ Stevens short action would take?
Norc M14 Would this be a good gun starting into precision shooting?

why are there so many people ready to pounce on and put down the guy that is trying to get info that may have been discussed somewhere else? maybe the info that is somewhere else is not pretaining exactly to what is asked, or said person does not trust other forums because of different circumstances between the two groups?

Why do you have a smart ass reply when I suggested you use Google?

Not sure what you mean by retro stocks. Do you mean its for an older model stevens 200? I have to be honest and say I have not found an abundance of readily available stocks for the savage platform. Certainly nothing compared to the Rem 700. Unless they are custom built whenever I find a stock I like they seem to only be available for the 700.

Do you have a stevens 200 or is this part of your research?

Ok, 1st question.

Is this a Steven 200 short action or long action?
If it is long action there is very, very little for stock options other than factory savage stocks.

2nd question. Is this a centerfeed stock or stagerfeed stock?
If it is a centerfeed the options are even less and less.

And yes, there has been a lot of attitude on the precision forum lately. A lot of the same questions are getting asked every second day it seems. It gets tiring to some.

it is short action centerfeed, i was wondering if it would fit the bell and carlson vertical grip tactical. if not, i guess my only option would be to alter the existing stock to similar shape

I don't know if B&C does a centerfeed action yet. They didn't last I looked anyways. Any stock you look into make sure it is centerfeed. It is a different action screw spacing.

you can get stocks from sss sharp shooters suply from the states I know a few guys who have ordered there and have received them with no issues.

search bell and carlson on the site here there was just a thread about that and there was canadian sources listed aswell as american sites that are set up to ship here
